Stations Map

This is our Stations map. Zoom in to see your nearest clean up Station.

We operate a network of beach cleaning, litter picking and street cleaning stations that make it easier for people to take action against litter. Each station has a Guardian, who is responsible for its day to day management, which includes keeping it safe, making sure it is always stocked with bags and that litter pickers don’t go missing.

We are currently developing a team of Guardian Angels to manage our boards locally for a pilot project in Devon and Cornwall. Their job will be to look after a number of stations and to engage local communities.

We have a dedicated App found on the App store ‘BEACHCLEAN’. Data is powerful, and together as a collective, we can use that data to drive top-down change. Join our tribe of App users today and keep up to date with our latest news on our exciting App portal service available in 2022.

The idea of the stations was conceived in Bude in 2014 by Kim Stevens and Deb Rosser as a way of making it easier for everyone to take part in a #2minutebeachclean. We placed our first beach clean station at Crooklets beach in Bude in September 2014. The board was funded by Surfdome and Beach Care. By September 2015, the amount of litter collected on monthly clean ups was reduced by 61% compared with the same period in the year previously. Since then we have placed over 800 beach clean, street clean and litter pick stations across the UK and Ireland.

People love them.
