We are The 2 Minute Foundation, a national charity who envisions a litter-free world where nature thrives. We raise awareness and provide guidance to help communities understand plastic pollution’s impact and the need to protect our oceans and waterways.

what we do

Have you got 2 minutes?

#2MINUTEBEACHCLEAN

Launched in 2013 as a simple hashtag, the #2MinuteBeachClean campaign inspires coastal communities to spend just 2 minutes picking up litter and keeping beaches beautiful. It’s a quick, impactful way for everyone to protect their local coastline.

#2MINUTELITTERPICK

The #2MinuteLitterPick campaign empowers everyone to care for their local spaces—whether it’s a street, park, or woodland. Since all litter eventually makes its way to the ocean, picking up trash on land is crucial for protecting our waterways and marine life.

#2MINUTESOFPOSITIVITY

The #2MinutesOfPositivity campaign is about taking 2 minutes to boost your well-being while supporting the planet. Whether it’s reading a few pages of your favorite book, meditating, or simply pausing to appreciate nature, these small moments make a big difference for you and the planet.

#2MINUTESOLUTION

The #2MinuteSolution campaign champions small changes that add up to make a big impact. It encourages our community to share sustainable swaps they’ve made to reduce waste, cut down on single-use plastics, and shrink their carbon footprint.

Our Vision

Rectangle 27

We believe every small action drives meaningful change, making climate engagement accessible for all. While we can’t stop mass plastic production, we use our influence to promote planet-positive behaviors, provide tools for change, and reduce single-use plastic reliance. Thriving oceans are vital to our planet’s health, so we aim to shift mindsets towards litter and plastic pollution for a sustainable future.
