2 Minutes of Positivity

Take 2 minutes for you – because small moments of care create big change for people and planet

What is 2 Minutes of Positivity?

2 Minutes of Positivity is about taking a moment for yourself, because caring for the planet starts with caring for you. Whether it’s a quick walk, reading a few pages, sea swimming, or simply pausing to breathe, this is your time. Small acts of self-care boost well-being and remind us that positive actions – however small – can make a big impact, for both people and planet.

Finding the Positives

The world can feel overwhelming but small shifts in focus can make a big difference. While we can’t fix everything, we can shape our own outlook. Take a moment to notice what’s good around you: fresh air, kindness, nature, laughter. The more we seek out the positives, the more we find and the more our outlook shifts. And then positivity starts to grow.

Why Belief Matters?

Believing we can make a difference is the first step to real change. It drives action, builds momentum, and inspires others. One person picking up litter might seem small, but add enough people and it becomes a movement. Change takes time, but belief gives it power.
Whether it’s reducing plastic use or helping others, our individual actions collectively shape a brighter, more hopeful future for ourselves, our communities, and our planet.

What is Eco-Anxiety All About?

Eco-anxiety is the worry we feel about the planet’s future—from climate change to pollution. It’s a sign that we care deeply. While it can feel overwhelming, small actions help. Beach cleans, litter picks, mindful choices, or simply spending time connecting with nature can turn concern into purpose. Taking action, however small, is a powerful way to protect both the planet and our mental wellbeing.

We spent World Oceans Day a little differently this year. 🌊

We all know all litter on land eventually leads to the ocean, so being able to find a second, third or fourth life for plastic is vital.

Matt aka One Blue Eye Cornwall transforms waste plastic into wonderful things, and we spent the day experimenting. We also did a little bit of work for Si who creates our clean-up stations, these medals made from quality street are used as litter pick bag discs on our school station.

Of course we had to make a little something for ourselves, using bottle caps and shredded plastic and voila, we have our very own clock.🕰️

We had a fantastic day with Matt, we can’t wait to be able to offer a series of workshops for you all very soon, let us know in the comments what you’d love to come and make!

A wild concept perhaps but definitely something to consider when you’re getting anything to takeaway, or buying a bottled drink - what reusable alternatives are there instead?

Have You got 2 Minutes ?

#2MINUTEBEACHCLEAN

Launched in 2013 as a simple hashtag, the #2MinuteBeachClean campaign inspires coastal communities to spend just 2 minutes picking up litter and keeping beaches beautiful. It’s a quick, impactful way for everyone to protect their local coastline.

#2MINUTELITTERPICK

The #2MinuteLitterPick campaign empowers everyone to care for their local spaces—whether it’s a street, park, or woodland. Since all litter eventually makes its way to the ocean, picking up trash on land is crucial for protecting our waterways and marine life.

#2MINUTESOFPOSITIVITY

The #2MinutesOfPositivity campaign is about taking 2 minutes to boost your well-being while supporting the planet. Whether it’s reading a few pages of your favorite book, meditating, or simply pausing to appreciate nature, these small moments make a big difference for you and the planet.

#2MINUTESOLUTION

The #2MinuteSolution campaign champions small changes that add up to make a big impact. It encourages our community to share sustainable swaps they’ve made to reduce waste, cut down on single-use plastics, and shrink their carbon footprint.
