Big Nature Hike
For anyone aged 11-18 with good walking ability in any weather!
If you’re up for a bit more adventure, come and join us each week as we explore the coastline together. Every session, we’ll focus on a different species, learning about it and trying to spot it out in the wild.
We’ll be covering quite a bit of ground, so be ready for a good walk! Make sure you come dressed for the weather and bring your energy – you’ll need

Beach Explorers
A drop-off session for kids aged 5-10
A fun beach session just for kids packed with hands-on coastal adventures. We’ll explore rockpools, learn about the ocean, and discover what makes our coastline so special.
There’ll be plenty of time for exploring, playing, and getting stuck into activities like litter picking and more. A great way to learn about nature while having fun on the beach.

Wildlife Watching
For Young people aged 10-18
A calm, slow-paced wildlife session focused on spotting as many coastal species as we can, from seabirds to dolphins and everything in between.
We’ll spend time sitting quietly, scanning the sea and shoreline with binoculars, and learning how to observe wildlife carefully. We won’t always find what we’re looking for, but that’s part of the experience – taking things slowly, being patient in nature, and discovering more about our amazing oceans along the way.

Family Funtimes – Little Ones
For Families with children ages 7 and under
Designed for families with younger children, this session is all about exploring the beach together. Discover the wildlife, textures and treasures of our coastline through simple, hands-on activities, perfect for curious little ones and grown-ups alike.
A relaxed and fun way to spend time outdoors, learn something new, and enjoy the coast as a family.

Family Funtimes – Rockpool BioBlitz
This session is open to everyone. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
Join us as we head into the rockpools to discover the incredible creatures living along our coastline. As part of the National BioBlitz, we’ll be recording what we find, with our Beach School team on hand to help identify species and log your discoveries.
To take part in the BioBlitz, we recommend downloading the iNaturalist app in advance so you’re ready to get involved.

Family Funtimes – Coastal Crafting
This session is for families with children of any age.
Join us for a relaxed, creative session on the beach. From jewellery making to watercolours and more, we’ll be using natural and found materials to get crafty by the coast.
A lovely way for families to slow down, get creative, and enjoy time together outdoors.

A great session for families with older children, with more ground to cover and plenty to explore along the way. Expect a mix of beach cleaning, rockpooling, and discovering the many features of our coastline.
This is an active session, so a good level of mobility is needed. A rewarding way to learn more about the environment, get involved, and enjoy the coast together.
