WHAT IS THE 2 MINUTE BEACH SCHOOL?

We are delighted to offer a full program of year round activities to suit everyone, young or old from our base in Bude, Cornwall! We have daytime sessions, extra – curricular clubs and lots of holiday pop ups.

We deliver bespoke sessions for schools, clubs and corporate groups. These can be tailored to your needs and you can visit us on the Beach in Bude, we can come to you, or we can deliver virtual sessions.

TERM-TIME DAYTIME SESSIONS

Spend your day exploring our beaches, delving into rockpools and discovering our coastal habitats.

Sessions will be full of environmental based games and learning, with a whole heap of inspiration. Find out what YOU can do to protect the oceans!

Our outside classroom is naturally inspiring, ignites imagination and confidence in everyone whilst developing a love of the ocean.

SPRING SESSIONS

Why not come and join us for a day exploring our beaches, delving into rockpools and discovering our coastal habitats whilst also finding out what you can do to protect the oceans!


  • Family sessions include a variety of fun-filled learning activities, including wanderings on the beach and frolics in the rock pools! Beach cleaning, natural crafting, storytelling and exploring, there are plenty of opportunities for connecting with and learning about our natural world. Kids must be accompanied by a parent/carer who is also willing to get stuck in! Suitable for all ages but a good mobility is advised as we will walk to different beaches and do lots of exploring.

  • Big Beach Cleans are suitable for all, whether a seasoned beach cleaner or complete novice! All equipment is provided and we will be on hand to lend support and information. The winter storms have left our beaches strewn with plastics, so lets get out there and show our beaches some love!



  • Half Term Hangouts are for those aged 12 and over. Join us for a sunset session with some chilled out fire vibes.


  • Weekend Wander sessions are the perfect way to get a taste all our coastline has to offer. Bring the whole family to discover our rockpools, get involved with a beach clean, and explore the unique flora and fauna of our beaches.


 

  • Join us for our FIRST 2 Minute Twilight Session! Come and have a taster of all the adult-only activities on offer over the coming months, with our Twilight Sessions happening every other Wednesday. Beach cleans, rockpool rambles, discussions and learnings are just a few of the things on offer.

Early years

Spend your morning exploring our beaches with your little one(s) by joining us in a session designed to immerse babies, children and parents into the natural environment through sensory experiences and playtime activities, whilst offering an opportunity to meet our friendly staff and like-minded parents. Sessions will be full of environmental based games, stories, songs and more, with a whole heap of inspiration. Plus, find out what YOU can do to protect the oceans!

 

Ages 5-11 drop off sessions

These kids-only sessions are full of fun and learning, and suitable for anyone with a sense of adventure and a love of our environment!

 

11plus Series

A teens-only block of sessions where students commit to attending the whole 6 or 7 week series as each lesson follows on from the last.

 Families, Classic

Our Classic sessions will include a variety of fun-filled learning activities, including wanderings on the beach and frolics in the rock pools! Beach cleaning, natural crafting, storytelling and exploring, there are plenty of opportunities for connecting with and learning about our natural world. Kids must be accompanied by a parent/carer who is also willing to get stuck in! Suitable for all ages but a good mobility is advised as we will walk to different beaches and do lots of exploring. Topics and books will be aimed at 5-11 year olds. 

 

The Ocean Protectors - Extra Curricular Club

Join our fun and friendly extra-curricular club. You'll learn all about our oceans and coastal habitats, the problems they are facing, and how to protect them. 

These sessions run term-time, all year round. When it gets too dark to be on the beach, we move inside and continue the fun!

Shannies - Age 11 Plus. Tuesday 4.30 - 6
Shrimps Age 6 - 11. Wednesday 4-5.30
Volunteering. Age 11-16
